Hi there!
My name is Michael Merkel and I'm born 1972 in Mannheim, Germany, where
I'm still living.
From 1993 to 1998 I visited the FH Mannheim - Fachhochschule für Technik und Gestaltung
(german college) with computer science as my course of studies.
I finished my diploma in March 1998 at the
Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics
in Darmstadt, Germany. The topic is about level of detail (LOD) in visual simulations.
So you now are allowed to call me "Mr. Dipl.-Inform." .... ;-)
At home I develop useful ARexx scripts for PageStream3 - a famous DTP program
for the Amiga computer. (You can find these scripts at my
PageStream page)
My other hobbies (except my Amiga) are: going to the cinema, watching tv and video,
reading (Stephen King most of the time), playing squash and cycling. I also like to eat
and sometimes to cook.
